Remember the song … Love Is In The Air?  Well that’s what I think about every year at Valentine’s Day!   Today’s Valentine’s Day 2016 and among all the red outfits, roses, candy or other forms of showing love, I again wanted to go back to how the tradition began so here it is!

Valentine’s day was originally called Saint Valentine’s Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine.  The day first became associated with ROMANCE … LOVE within the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in the 14th century when the tradition of courtship flourished.  In the 18th century it evolved into an occasion in which lovers expressed their love for each other by presenting gifts and cards.

How ever you celebrate Valentine’s Day 2016 and Whom Ever you show LOVE (Husband, Lover, Mother, Father, Child, Best Friend or Fiance) here is something I try to always remember!
