I know it’s been awhile since we chatted but we have been traveling, PLUS YOU NEED IDEAS FOR Mother’s Day! ! Here are three simple and easy to make crafty gifts … great for anyone’s budget and it’s always more special when it’s made from the heart!!
Chamomile Oatmeal Bath Soak 2 cups Oatmeal; 1/2 cup Chamomile Flowers and Medium mason jar or canister
Directions In a food processor or coffee grinder, combine oatmeal and dried flowers and blend to create the finest pieces possible. Store mixture in an airtight container, such as a mason jar or hinge-top canister, to keep it fresh. Make an adorable label telling your mom how awesome she is along with directions: “Add 1/2-1 cup to a warm bath to moisturizer dry skin, soothe frazzled nerves or calm a frazzled mom.”
Scented Drawer Sachet 6×4 inch piece of fabric of your choice (try up cycling a piece of clothing or sheets), 3 teaspoons Dried Lavender, 3 teaspoons Dried Chamomile Flowers and Fabric glue
Directions With fabric turned inside out, glue three sides of the fabric together to make a pocket. Once glue is dry, turn pocket right side out and fill with dried flowers. Glue the final side closed and let glue dry. That’s it! The scent will be lovely and mild without adding chemical-based fragrances to her delicate drawer.
Potpourri 1/4 cup Dried Lavender, 1/4 cup Dried Chamomile Flowers, 2 Leaves of Dried Sage Crushed and Small mason jar with lid
Directions In a small mason jar with an airtight lid, combine all ingredients. Tie a ribbon around the jar and a note telling your mom how much you love her. All she has to do is open the lid to enjoy light, fresh aromatherapy.
Until next time Keep it REAL … REAL FUN!! 🙂 Brenda
