A MESSAGE from our Founder …     

The mission o2b Fun, Inc. education foundation is the advancement of education by creating and performing fundraising activities to provide funds for assisting students based upon need and or merit. To EDUCATE + EQUIP + EMPOWER people on all educational levels without thought to nationality, creed, color, handicaps, and belief.

Our goal is: Educate + Equip + Empower Students by empowering them with an educational experience to help them become productive citizens that impact and give back to their Community.  Our scholarships go out to middle school students headed into high school and College bound students. Our applicants must have volunteered a minimum of 40 hours in community service during the year and maintain a 3.4 GPA during their three years.

YEAR IN REVIEW

As we come to the end of 2015 it was an impressive year in our eyes.  It all started with our Signature Event called “Rooftop Suitcase Party,” literally held on the rooftop of Nielsen under a full moon with Dick Crippen as our Emcee and 204 Sold Tickets.  This Adult only party hosted a gourmet four course meal with adult beverages then deserts with adult infused coffee and prizes for all ticket purchasers!

Presented by Bright House Networks; Nielsen; Newhouse Media, Ferman BMW Palm Harbor, Nichols Insurance Group, Sharp Hair Design, Wacky World, Lowe’s, Elite Party & Rental, Harbor Graphics, Amici’s Catered Cuisine, PF Chang’s, GrillSmith Clearwater, Flamestone, Ocean Flame, Ed’s Fine Wines, Great Bay Budweiser, Royal Cup Coffee, Water Boys, Publix Charities, and Winn-Dixie.  Our Stay-Cation Donors included: Southwest Airlines, The Ritz Carlton Sarasota, Beau Rivage Mississippi, CTwo Resort San Francisco, Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa, Holiday Inn Clearwater Beach, Shephard’s Beach Resort, Safety Harbor Resort & Spa, Saddlebrook Resort, Tideline Ocean Resort, Holiday Inn Oldsmar, Hilton Garden Inn Palm Coast, The Barrymore Hotel, South Seas Island Resort, Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk, Holiday Isles Oceanfront Resort, and Marriott Courtyard Fort Myers.

Up next was our “Student & Parent Scholarship Party,” where we presented each student with their certificate and cash scholarship for their Educational Experience.  With over 100 people in attendance the Board of Directors presented to eight (8) Students their Educational Scholarships whether they were headed to attended an Educational Middle School Summer Camp Experience or headed to a Florida College of their choice this event was FUN Family time where we celebrated, ate and played games such as Chopsticks Jello, Toilet Paper Rubber Band Shooting, Tin Can Spaghetti Race, How Low can you go, Clipboard Rebound and Suck it up straw games … guess you had to be there to understand these silly but fun games!

We did not stop at those eight (8) student educational scholarships; no, we provided cash grants to the following local not for profit Community businesses:  Oldsmar Cares; Countryside Cares; American Cancer Society; Lou Gehrig ALS Foundation; Make Them Matter building project; Walk for Life Pinellas County; and Freedom High School Security Program.

We ALL have the ability to positively impact others once we discover that we all have super powers in being Community Minded. Will you use your Community Minded powers for good?  The advancement of education comes through sponsors, grants, donations, attendees of our events, bequests and any other creative avenue people wish to give to help us provide funds for assisting students based upon need and/or merit for their educational scholarship support.

SO thanks to all our Sponsors, Donors, Attendees, Supporters, Grantors and all YOU COMMUNITY MINDED folks that made 2015 such a success!  We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts because without Community Minded folks and businesses we could not have granted these educational cash scholarships!

Getting in the Christmas spirit and seeing how Our Clearwater Beach Resorts decorate for Christmas, we check them out on my Surprise Ride Nights for the hubbs!   I would Highly Suggest supporting these resorts and share with me your favorite Clearwater Beach Resorts!

Just after Christmas we head to Tampa Resorts so be on the watch for our favorite places and to support the local economy just like at Clearwater Beach!

It’s Friday, December 11, 2015 at 2:02 a.m. EST and I’m so excited I can’t sleep!  Here’s WHY …

Nuf Said … so we are all either 1) Excited also and ready to have FUN or 2) thinking where did the time go and I have SO much more to do!

Well as a very Dear Friend once told me when attending her Pampered Chef Party … when the actual date is here and the first person comes through the doors it’s all down hill and it’s all FUN TIME so don’t sweat the small stuff ENJOY.

I do not want to be disrespectful to those who have lost loved ones and this is a very difficult time of any year.  My thoughts, well wishes and prayers are with you!
